I can imagine a decent live action adaptation, where it occasionally breaks in to animated segments to showcase what they're working on or have just completed, and that juxtaposition in style creating a good contrast. I don't know, so long as they keep the sections of the characters animating things actually animated, making the rest live action seems reasonable.

Gonna be honest making a live action movie feels like missing the point Eizouken feels like it was made to nudge me in the ribs and say, ' It really is just the best thing, isn't it?' Still, animation bypasses that 'this is playing pretend' check in my brain, and nothing delights or devastates me like it can.Д®ven an anime specifically about how the sausage is made doesn't diminish it for me at all. I've even been a huge fan of voice acting since I was a kid. I know animation is an artifice, obviously.

I enjoy a lot of live action stuff, but it's always a performance to me. I can never ignore that someone is 'acting' and suspend my disbelief while watching live actors. I've always responded more emotionally to animation and drawn/painted images than live action. She reminds me of Satoshi Kon's philosophy of anime, where he animated because it was 'more true' than real and gave him far more control over the moving image than otherwise possible. It was an ingenious move to win Doumeki to their side by showing her some really, really bad sound design, like playing a video game poorly in front of someone who knows it much better.
